About our school

North Rocks Public School provides quality education to its students in 32 classes for mainstream children. Additionally, the school has two classes for gifted students (OC classes) and a support unit with two autism classes and an IO class. These classes are available through selective placement procedures only. Strong parent support for the school enables a wide cultural program to be offered in the school's excellent physical facilities.

Our school's purpose is to stimulate and encourage learning. Our school aims to:

  • provide a safe and happy learning environment that is attractive and stimulating
  • promote the skills of literacy and numeracy
  • use appropriate technology and seek adaptive and creative solutions
  • encourage co-operation, caring and respect
  • expect students to accept increasing responsibility for their own learning and behaviour
  • function as part of the larger community, involving parents and community members in a team effort.
